Commercial Flooring Example: The Horseshoe, Shipston-on-Stour
We recently completed flooring solutions for the newly refurbished Horseshoe pub in Shipston-on-Stour. The pub had been uninhabited for several years and we were thrilled to hear of the change in ownership meaning the pub which was once a staple in the market town, would once again be open and full of life!
As part of a varied team of talented tradespeople working with the new owners on the refurbishment, we worked around painters/decorators, electricians and the horseshoe staff who worked very hard in a relatively short space of time to meet an opening deadline. It was very important to the Horseshoe that it remain a 'pubby' pub whilst having the capacity for a restaurant area and areas where TVs would allow people to watch sports fixtures. Working in a conservation zone building...and one with an iconic facade...was a treat but it did mean we had to draw on our experience of working with quirky old buildings with funny angles and uneven surfaces. The flooring choices for the horseshoe were a really delightful blend of traditional designs with contemporary elements which compliments the pub itself with its traditional pub feel and local ales alongside modern technology and internationally imported beverages. This was a really fun commercial project and we look forward to returning for a cheeky pint when we are next in the area.
A little further down the road, we had the pleasure of installing a 4 toned, marmoleum floor at a commercial site in Bournemouth with a really interesting laying pattern.
